EMS215 Special Populations
This course will present the epidemiology, pathophysiology, psychosocial impact, presentations, and management of diseases and disorders experienced by unique patient populations. Areas of study include obstetrics, 新生儿学, 儿科, geriatrics and patients with special healthcare needs. This course includes American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification. Upon completion the student will be able to integrate assessment findings with principles of pathophysiology and knowledge of psychosocial needs to formulate a field impression and implement a comprehensive treatment plan for patients with special healthcare needs.
